The cellar

If the stones of Le Caveau in Auxey could speak, they would tell the viticultural history of Auxey-Duresses and Burgundy. They would speak of the years engraved in stone, the harvests of yesteryear, and the wines vinified, matured, and aged here, in the house where Berthe and Maurice Damy, François’s grandparents, produced their wines following the rhythm of Burgundian expertise.

They would also hold the memory of the laughter and songs of the harvesters, the cellar anecdotes, the shared bottles, and the evenings hosted by Berthe and Maurice, who welcomed their customers until late at night.

Today, this tradition continues in a different way. The cellar has become a place for Burgundy wine sales, tastings, and discovery, where local history, terroirs, and family hospitality continue to be passed on, glass in hand.
